Each cutting board is handmade by artesian Matthew Gribbon. Matthew is a woodworker by trade focusing on merging engineering, craft and art to create household items. Each cutting board is made by Matthew himself in his Brooklyn studio.

Sapele is a native hardwood to central and western Africa. A cousin to mahogany it is known for its wavy fine grain and natural luster.
